Jönköping Airport is located some 10 km from the city centre and has scheduled international and domestic flights, as well as charter flights and many air freight services.

From Jönköping, frequent train services are available to, for example Stockholm ,Copenhagen City , and Kastrup International Airport.

Several bus companies have extensive scheduled domestic and international routes to and from, and/or via Jönköping.

Jönköping has a number of biogas stations and many of the municipal buses run on biogas, which is produced locally from household food wastes.
